HB 1417 (Polo) amends the conflicting and continuing conflict employment provisions of the state Code of Ethics for Public Officers and Employees. It provides that officers of a legislative body may not receive compensation for serving on a board, commission, committee, council or authority, other than his or her assigned legislative committee, as part of his or her employment or contractual relationship with an entity that is regulated by another agency (and not the legislative body).
