SB 278 (Rodriguez) requires the Florida Department of Health to prepare an annual climate health planning report to assess the threat to human health caused by climate change and to develop strategies to help the state’s communities prepare for the health effects of climate change. The bill directs the DOH to consult with various state and local agencies in preparing the report and include one-year, five-year, 10-year and 20-year recommendations for policy and budget priorities associated with identified threats.
