SB 7020 (Infrastructure and Security) authorizes the Florida Department of Transportation to plan, design and construct staging areas for emergencies as part of the turnpike system. These sites are intended to be designated staging areas for emergency supplies to facilitate the prompt provision of emergency assistance to the public in response to a declared state of emergency.
