Data Use & Requests

The Center for Municipal Research & Innovation compiles and collects research and statistics on key issues related to municipal government. Data is collected through the annual CityStats survey, which is administered electronically to all of Florida's cities. Other data resource information is obtained directly from key officials in each city as well as from various state agencies and research institutes. New reports and data sets are added as they become available.

This data is available as a resource to Florida's city officials and administrators either by a quick download on this site or via a more in-depth data analysis request from CMRI staff. If you don't find what you are looking for on the website or need the data in an Excel format, contact Liane Schrader.

The CMRI is committed to promoting the use of the data collected and held within its archives and believes the data should be available for use in decision making, research, education and other public benefit purposes. Researchers, institutes and agencies seeking to use CMRI data sets may complete the League's Data Sharing Policy & Application to obtain needed data according to the CMRI's terms and conditions.
